The Inspiration Behind the Foundation
On June 8, 2025, Greyson Charles Zess was involved in an ATV accident, which inflicted injuries beyond what his natural body could endure. His parents, Jaime and Dan, were left to make sense of his passing, knowing they wanted to continue to share a piece of their boy with the world and who he was. As such, this Foundation was created to honor Greyson's unwavering kindness, infectious spirit and deep commitment to his community. He was a person who consistently chose to act with compassion, whether through a small gesture of support or a significant effort to help others. The Foundation is a living tribute to his belief that everyone has the power to make a positive impact. We hope to keep his spirit of service alive and inspire others to follow in his footsteps through the scholarships and community projects we undertake.
Be Kind. Be Respectful. Show Up.
The core of the foundation was developed from the three rules that Greyson's mom taught him as a child. As a parent, you hope your love shines through your child and reaches the rest of the world. 1) Be kind, you never know what someone is going through. 2) Be respectful, every person matters and deserves that. 3) Show up, during the highs or lows, always being a safe place. Three rules born from years of striving to raise good humans.
Mission Statement
The Greyson Zess Community Impact Foundation's mission is to invest in students who embody the spirit of community service and to support projects that create positive change. We strive to award scholarships to graduating students who have actively enriched our community through their actions and character. We will also partner with local organizations to fund and implement initiatives that promote community improvement for the greater good. Our goal is to foster a cycle of service, creating a lasting impact that reflects Greyson's values and inspires others to contribute to the vitality of our community.
